SHORT BIO<\/span><\/p>\n

Frank Vallentin\u00a0is a professor of applied mathematics (computer science) at Universit\u00e4t zu K\u00f6ln. In 2003 he received his\u00a0Ph.D. in mathematics from Technische Universit\u00e4t M\u00fcnchen. Past appointments\u00a0include assistant and associate professor at Technische Universiteit Delft, postdoc at Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica in Amsterdam and postdoc at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His research interests include optimization, geometry, discrete and experimental mathematics.<\/p>\n
