Conference Location

The conference will be held in the Mathematics Department (click for a university map with the building marked).
This is located at Weyertal 86, 50931 Cologne, Germany.

Airport Information

The closest airport which services the Cologne area is the Cologne-Bonn Airport (CGN). Service is provided to and from most of Europe.

In addition, there are international airports in Düsseldorf (DUS) and Frankfurt (FRA).

Train Travel

Upon arrival at one of the above airports, one should proceed to the train station contained within the airport.
Note: There are two train stations in the Frankfurt Airport. One should go to the "long-distance train station" (Fernbahnhof).

Travel by train to the "Cologne main station" (Köln Hauptbahnhof).
Tickets cost approximately 7 euros from CGN, 20 Euros from DUS, and 19-59 euros from FRA.
Many international flights have an option to include train travel from Frankfurt for a nominal fee of approximately 10 euros. This must be arranged while booking your flight.
The respective travel times are approximately 15 minutes from CGN, 40 minutes from DUS, and one hour from FRA.

From Cologne main station (Köln Hauptbahnhof).

By Subway/Tube/U-Bahn (For reference, see the U-Bahn map)

From the main station, take the U-Bahn number 16 or 18 in the direction of Neumarkt.
Once at Neumarkt, one ascends two levels to the ground floor.
From there, one should take the U-Bahn number 9 in the direction of Sulz or Universität.
The university is located at the stop "Universität".

Tickets cost 2.50 euros and there are automatic ticket machines located on the train as well as at the main station.
Alternatively, a taxi costs approximately 13 euros.

From Cologne south station (Köln Süd).

Take the exit in the direction "Zulpicher Strasse". Then turn left and travel along Zulpicher Str. (in the direction of "Lindenthal") until you reach the street Universitätsstrasse. Here you will turn right. From here it is a 2 minute walk to the main building of the university.
