I am a Ph.D. student in the Math Department of the University of Connecticut (UConn) in Storrs. I am a teaching assistant, too. I am working under the supervision of professor McKenna. My focus is the traveling wave solutions of the nonlinear beam equation. In May of 1998 I received the Master of Science degree in math from UConn.
Prior to coming to UConn, I studied mathematics at the Czech Technical University (CVUT), Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering, in Prague, Czech Republic. I graduated from CVUT in June of 1996. The topic of my Master's thesis was the numerical solution of Euler and Navier-Stokes equations using modern TVD upwind schemes.
I was born in the town of Pardubice, Czech Republic.
