Tired by the long winter and the "snow storm/snow melting/mud and dirt" cycles in Storrs, Connecticut, my friend Sebastian and I decided to spend the spring break 2001 in a warm place - a desert park in southern California, the Joshua Tree National Park.

Located not far from Los Angeles, about three hours by car in the south-eastern direction, the park is a beautiful place to visit offering various hiking trails, countless rock climbing opportunities, and nice places to camp.
