This network, centred at Köln, is supporting collaboration of Chinese and German pure mathematicians. It is funded by Rheinenergie foundation (RheinEnergie Stiftung Wissenschaft), for a period of two years starting from April 2008.
This network is building upon, extending and continuing earlier collaboration, on individual level and through networks supported by the Volkswagen foundation, the EU AsiaLink programme: Algebras and Representations in China and Europe, and the Leverhulme Trust: Algebras, Representations and Applications.

The network will provide some short-term postdoc positions for up to six months, with the intention to support existing or to start new long-term collaboration with Chinese representation theorists. Moreover, the network will organise a workshop and a conference to be held in 2009 at the university of Köln. It also will fund visits by Chinese researchers to Germany, and vice versa.
