The spring school "Characters of Representations and Modular Forms" will take place at the Max-Planck-Institut für Mathematik in Bonn from 23 March till 27 March 2015.
As the title suggests, this spring school aims to build a bridge between two very active and highly intertwined disciplines of mathematics, Representation Theory and Number Theory. For that purpose we like to invite young researchers from both these areas to attend this school and learn about the respective other area and the various connections between them.
The lecturers for the Spring School (in alphabetical order) are
Maria Gorelik | Weizman Institute of Science
Victor Kac | MIT | |
Geoffrey Mason | University of California, Santa Cruz
Ken Ono | Emory University
Minoru Wakimoto | University of Kyushu
Don Zagier | MPIM Bonn |
The program and a list of participants will soon become available.
For planning purposes and due to space constraints, anyone interested in attending the school is required to register. Please follow the instructions given here.
